Test Fly MyGoFlight’s Head-up Display

At the MyGoFlight booth, you can peruse a variety of useful products from flight bags to kneeboards and anti-glare glass for your mobile device, but there is also a bonus for visitors, the chance to try out the company’s SkyDisplay head-up display (HUD).

MyGoFlight co-founder Charles Schneider and his engineering team have been developing the  low-cost SkyDisplay HUD for years, and certification is expected by the end of the year. The HUD, which weighs less than two pounds, is expected to sell for $25,000 for a Cirrus, and a bit more for turboprops and light jets. SkyDisplay is designed for any airplane where flight deck space is a constraint but pilots could benefit from a HUD.

The benefits of a HUD are well-known, reducing pilot workload, especially when flying single-pilot IFR. Pilots can see for themselves at the MyGoFlight exhibit (Booth 3259) how the SkyDisplay HUD helps with taking off at the right speed, flying smoother in all phases of flight, preventing loss of control, and staying precisely on course during instrument approaches, all while being able to see the outside view.
