Content Body

Pilots who want to learn how to get the most out of their Avidyne avionics can take advantage of training offered by Avidyne training partner Gary Reeves and PilotSafety. The 2019 training schedule includes one-day ground school classes and three-day IFR mastery programs.

The one-day ground schools are available in most months during 2019, at various locations in the U.S., including Florida, Texas, California, and Wisconsin. The training lasts for eight hours and includes hands-on practice with Avidyne’s IFD440/540 GPS navigators and the latest 10.2 software, including “emergency procedures, setup customization, and common errors to avoid.”

For more in-depth training, Reeves offers three-day IFR Mastery Program seminars that include flights in an Avidyne-equipped airplane or the customer’s airplane. The advanced training covers displays, autopilots, and use of the ForeFlight EFB app. A flight review and instrument proficiency check are also included. IFR Mastery classes accommodate up to three students.
