Online registration for the FAA’s first virtual International Rotorcraft Safety Conference is now open. The free event will take place from October 27 to 29 and address topics related to reducing the helicopter accident rate, along with presentations from key FAA and industry officials, including agency chief Steve Dickson. October 27 will feature the FAA presentations, while maintenance and operation seminars will take place on October 28 and 29. 


Speakers will include representatives from major rotorcraft OEMs, among them Bruno Santin (Bell) and Bruce Webb (Airbus); leading operators such as Air Methods and PHI; and training and safety experts, including Nick Mayhew from the U.S. Helicopter Safety Team and Randy Rowles of the Helicopter Institute. Speakers will address FAA aircraft certification flight standards priorities, safety management systems, unmanned aircraft systems, human factors, and accident prevention.
