Spectrum Aeromed (Booth 459) brought its new 5000X patient litter system to NBAA-BACE and has submitted an amended Pilatus PC-12 STC for the new equipment to the FAA. In the coming months, the company will be incorporating the 5000X into both existing and new STCs.
“As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year, we are very excited to introduce our new equipment to the air ambulance community,” said Spectrum v-p Matthew Christenson.
The 5000X features a common base with interlocking stretcher yielding a smaller footprint with fewer parts and overall lighter weight and easier installation. The module design also provides more clearance, easier access for maintenance, and improved aesthetics. The newly-designed stretcher bridge allows for better patient access in the air and while transferring onto and off the stretcher. All controls and gauges are centrally located in the base unit with dual USB ports and three individual universal electrical outlets.
