London’s Volare Aviation has opened a dedicated helicopter maintenance, management and refurbishment facility at London Oxford Airport and acquired six Leonardo AW109E light twins from Babcock International. The AW109s have since been retrofitted with luxury interiors and are now available for charter from Volare or offered for resale.

Up to 12, twin-engined executive helicopters can be worked on simultaneously in Volare’s new 16,000-sq-ft space. Additionally, last year London Oxford added seven new ICAO/EASA/CAA-compliant helipads.

The business offers interior and exterior refurbishment on pre-owned Leonardo, Airbus and Sikorsky models. Volare employs a workforce of 50 and offers refurbishment, engineering, aircraft charter, acquisition and management services and is recognized by the UK CAA, FAA, Nigerian CAA, and Hellenic Republic, in addition to receiving Cayman Islands, San Marino, Guernsey 2-Reg approvals. It is endorsed by aircraft manufacturers Bombardier, Embraer, Gulfstream, and Hawker, and suppliers Avidyne, BTEC, Garmin, and Gogo Business Aviation.

“From this fully accredited facility, with international approvals including EASA, UK and US FAA, we have the ability to purchase, refurbish, manage and maintain owners’ helicopters all under one roof—from one location,” said Dustin Dryden, Volare founder and chairman.
