Organizers have canceled the 2022 RotorTech UK trade show and conference “due to issues outside our control.” The show had been scheduled for June 16 to 18 at the Cotswold Airport, but the show unexpectedly lost its hangar indoor exhibition space. Show refunds will be issued in the coming week, organizers noted.

The event is held concurrently and co-located at Cotswold with AeroExpo UK, which has also been canceled. In a prepared statement, RotorTech said it was looking forward to holding the event again next year.

RotorTech UK 2022 had been expected to draw 5,000 visitors, more than 100 exhibitors, and 125 aircraft. It was to have included programs of interest to helicopter owners and operators, with events focusing on maintenance, flight training, regulation, and specialty operations and emergency services.

Cotswold was formerly RAF base Kemble and has long been a center for aircraft scrapping and recycling. It has been used as a location to film television shows, including the original version of the automotive-themed TV series Top Gear.
