Pursuit Aerospace completes acquisition of Larson Forgings, adding seamless rolled ring production to its aerospace component capabilities.
Content Body

Pursuit Aerospace has acquired Larson Forgings, a longtime provider of seamless rolled rings and open-die forgings for the aerospace and defense sectors. The move adds complementary forging capabilities to Pursuit’s global portfolio of aircraft engine component manufacturing.

“This acquisition brings a 130-year legacy of forging excellence to Pursuit,” said Pursuit Aerospace CEO Doug Folsom. “We are honored that the Larson family chose to partner with Pursuit in the sale of their business.”

Founded in 1895 as a Chicago blacksmith shop, Larson has evolved into a supplier serving OEM and Tier 1 aerospace customers, including a long-standing relationship with Pratt & Whitney. The company also performs in-house heat treatment and non-destructive testing.

Pursuit’s chief commercial officer, Ben Adams, noted that the deal allows Pursuit to expand its existing forging operations and offer a wider range of aerospace components.

Larson president Scott Larson said the company selected Pursuit because of its focus on operational improvement and shared values. “Pursuit’s customer relationships, scale, and broad capability set have helped strengthen Larson’s position and ability to serve our customers,” he said.
