Skyward Express inked an agreement with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada to purchase a refurbished Dash 8-400 turboprop twin.

“We are thrilled that Skyward Express is continuing to build its fleet of Dash 8-400s with the addition of an aircraft from our newly announced DHC OEM certified refurbishment program,” said Ryan DeBrusk, v-p of sales and marketing for De Havilland Canada. “The Dash 8 is a prominent aircraft in Kenya, and we are proud to be working with Skyward Express, a premier operator in the region.”

As part of its commitment to “keep the fleet flying,” De Havilland Canada has launched a program to purchase, refurbish, and re-market Dash 8-400 aircraft in response to customer demand. The aircraft acquired by Skyward Express will be reconfigured to support the airline’s fleet growth plans.
