Kopter Rebrands from Marenco Swisshelicopter and Progresses Towards Certification

The company formerly known as Marenco Swisshelicopter, which recently rebranded itself as simply Kopter, brought its second prototype of the light turbine SH09 helicopter to Heli-Expo in Las Vegas. During the show, the company unveiled a mockup outfitted for EMS duties featuring the livery of launch customer Helitrans, and amassed firm orders for 23 SH09’s, with options for 11 more. Kopter’s development program is now turning to certification and serial production of the all-composite single-engine helicopter, which features a large rear-fuselage entry door and fenestron-configured tail rotor.
