Warfighters flying over complex and hostile combat zones have to make critical decisions in seconds. The availability of both manned and unmanned aircraft to monitor and destroy enemy targets has become a force multiplier in these scenarios, but gathering that video data and sharing it across multiple platforms to those involved in battle has posed challenges.
This is why L3 technologies developed the Manned and Unmanned Team System, known as MUMT, which is built around the sharing of high-bandwidth data, video, and ISR information. MUMT is being used by the U.S. Army’s Apache attack helicopters and various unmanned platforms. It has also been selected by the Dutch military.
