New MD 564 Helicopter Promises More Power and Performance

With a six-blade main rotor, a four-blade tail rotor, and the Rolls-Royce 250-C47E/3 engine, MD Helicopters says its MD 564 model will compete with larger types such as the Bell 407 and Airbus H125 with comparable performance and lower operating costs. The company is also working on an upgrade to the Notar (no tail rotor) MD520N.
