Description
The FAA and the National Park Service (NPS) proposed a commercial air tour management voluntary agreement for Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The agencies said this proposal “addresses many unique challenges while improving the condition of park resources and ensuring safe air tour operations.” It was developed between the FAA, seven air tour operators, and the NPS in consultation with Native American tribes. Commercial air tours have occurred over Lake Mead National Recreation Area for many years without tour-related operating parameters.
