The Vertical Flight Society (VFS) is partnering with the organizers of the European Rotors show to be staged this year in Cologne, Germany, from November 16 to 18. It will be held in the Congress Centre North of the Koelnmesse convention center and will focus on both existing helicopters and new vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, with the VFS now responsible for a program of technical sessions.
The first European Rotors show was scheduled for November 2020 but had to be canceled due to the Covid pandemic. Like this year's event, it was organized by the European Helicopter Association with support from EASA.
“Europe is a leading innovator of advanced rotorcraft and advanced air mobility,” commented VFS executive director Mike Hirschberg. “We are very excited to showcase the international progress in revolutionary technologies, such as high-speed rotorcraft and electric VTOL at European Rotors.”
Meanwhile, VFS is preparing to hold its 77th Annual Forum online from May 10 to 14. The five-day event will include more than 225 technical papers on topics ranging from acoustics to unmanned aircraft systems, as well as a conference agenda that features more than 50 leaders from across industry and government. This year, the forum’s virtual exhibit hall will be open to the general public for free.
