Archer Aviation is preparing to unveil the two-seat technology demonstrator for its planned four-passenger eVTOL aircraft during an event to be held in Los Angeles on June 10. The unveiling, which will be live-streamed online, will mark the first public appearance of the all-electric Maker demonstrator, which is being used to develop the larger production aircraft, which is expected to have a range of 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph.

“At Archer, we are playing the long-game and investing in better, more sustainable transportation for generations to come,” said Archer co-founder and co-CEO Adam Goldstein. “Setting a date for our supporters to see that mission materialize is a momentous occasion, not just for our team, but for the future cities that will benefit from a green transportation alternative.”

California-based Archer, which was formed in October 2018, intends to launch initial air taxi services in Los Angeles and Miami in 2024. The company is in the process of a merger with special purpose acquisition company Atlas Crest Investment Corporation. It also has a provisional agreement to supply up to 200 eVTOL aircraft to United Airlines.
