Corporacion America Airports is helping Eve to establish a network of vertiports in Europe and Latin America under a memorandum of understanding signed on June 9. The agreement was announced a few days after the private airports group announced a similar partnership with rival eVTOL aircraft developer Vertical Aerospace and customers including leasing group Avolon and Brazilian airline Gol.

According to Eve and Corporacion America Airports, their collaboration will start with an assessment of the readiness of existing ground infrastructure for eVTOL air taxi services. This will include studies of the regulatory environment for the new mode of transportation.

“We want to lead the development of the urban air mobility ecosystem, allowing mobility in the third dimension accessible to all, in a more sustainable transportation mode,” said Corporacion America Airports CEO Martin Eurnekian. The company operates 53 airports on three continents in countries such as Argentina, Uruguay, Italy, and Brazil, where it runs airports in the capital, Brasilia, and Natal.
