Eurocopter Delivers 527 Helos in 2010

Eurocopter delivered 527 helicopters last year, bringing in revenues of $6.54 billion (€4.8 billion)–up 6 percent from 2009–for the French helicopter manufacturer. It also accumulated orders for 346 helicopters worth $5.85 billion (€4.3 billion), equal to the company’s business volume in previous years before the peak periods of 2007 and 2009. For 2011, Eurocopter’s strategy includes one program development launch for the expansion and modernization of its helicopter line, the first flight of a major product upgrade and one new helicopter certification. The company’s industrial capabilities will also be broadened with its new rotary-wing center of excellence for EC725s in Brazil, the establishment of a joint venture to assemble EC145s in Kazakhstan and the consolidation of Eurocopter’s facilities in Europe.
