Field Aviation has completed the acquisition of Arinc Aerospace Systems Engineering and Support (ASES LLC) from Rockwell Collins. Field has a history in modification and maintenance services for maritime surveillance aircraft based on the Bombardier Challenger 605 and Dash 8 airframes. ASES, which operated as Arinc Aerospace, specializes in similar services on larger airframes, including the C-130, KC-10, KC-135 and E-6B.
Customers include the U.S. Department of Defense, commercial business and private customers.
With the integration of ASES, Field will have a total of more than 500 skilled employees in North America working at facilities in Oklahoma City, Okla., and Toronto, and Calgary, Canada. ASES will operate as Field Aerospace. “Combining Field Aviation’s international experience with ASES’s familiarity with the U.S. market was a key factor in our purchase decision,” said Field chairman Dan Magarian.
