UK-based machine tool supplier Geo Kingsbury (Hall 1, Stand 1080) is displaying an array of large volume CNC turning, prismatic metal-cutting, and grinding equipment from eight German manufacturers, as well as additive manufacturing equipment from France.
The manufacturers include Index and its subsidiary Traub, which produce CNC single- and multi-spindle lathes; Hormel, which offers 3- to 5-axis machining centers; and four large prismatic metal-cutting machine manufacturers: Burkhardt + Weber; F. Zimmermann; SHW; and Waldrich Coburg.
“We are delighted to be able to showcase our full range of top-quality German machine tools at Farnborough and be able to introduce our additive manufacturing division’s capabilities,” said Richard Kingsbury, the company’s managing director. “Right across the range of applications and component sizes, from a few millimeters to tens of meters, we can offer turnkey solutions that are optimized to a users’ requirements, with full support every stop of the way.”
Geo Kingsbury has been expanding its machine tool offerings recently. Last year the company established a new Grinding Technology division, and has been appointed agent for grinding machine manufacturer Hass Schleifmaschinen. Early this year, the distributor was tapped by AddUp, a joint venture of France’s Michelin and the Fives industrial engineering group, as the exclusive representative for its powder-bed additive manufacturing solutions.
