The USA Partnership Pavilion, which opened today at the Singapore Airshow, is showcasing about 110 exhibitors, 29 of which are marking their first appearance, and is representing 28 states. This is part of an estimated 150 U.S. exhibitors making an appearance at the show, alongside the 14 U.S. military aircraft. Six states—Arizona, North Carolina, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and West Virginia—have opted for standalone state pavilions within the USA Partnership Pavilion.

This year’s showing marks the third consecutive time that the U.S aerospace sector will represent the largest presence on the exhibit floor, next to Singapore, according to Kallman Worldwide, which has represented the Singapore Airshow in the U.S. since 2008. “The perennially strong American showing at this event is a clear indication of how important the Indo-Pacific region is to the U.S. aerospace and defense industry,” said Tom Kallman, president and CEO of the firm.

The presence also emphasizes the commitment of U.S. stakeholders to the region year-round, added Rafik Mansour, charge d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy Singapore. “As the Indo-Pacific emerges as a key global market for aerospace and defense, Singapore’s focus on research and development, intellectual property protection, and a skilled workforce continue to make the country an invaluable strategic partner,” he said.

Kallman put the USA Partnership Pavilion together in coordination with government agencies, including the Departments of Commerce, Defense, State, and Transportation.

“Now more than ever, success in international trade comes from partnership and teamwork. Many of our exhibitors—from publicly traded stalwarts such as L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon to small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 500 employees—already have significant partnerships and operations in the Indo-Pacific region.”

One such exhibitor in the pavilion, Aerometals, is returning to Singapore for the second time. “We’re a small northern California company that is growing by expanding into international markets,” said Lorie Symon, president and CEO of Aerometals, adding the airshow “is a great venue for meeting with all our customers and representatives within the Asian market.”

In addition to highlighting U.S. companies, the pavilion will host the Astronaut Al Worden Endeavor Scholarship Awards on February 12 in partnership with Raytheon, show organizer Experia, and design firm Kingsman Creatives.

Unveiled during the Paris Air Show, the program is designed to inspire young people to pursue STEM careers ad involves scholarships for students and educators to receive a week of astronaut training at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center’s Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
