FAI Aviation Services DMCC was named Best Air Ambulance Provider Middle East at the Middle East Aviation Innovation Awards 2025, held during the Dubai Air Show. Managing director Barbara Baumgartner accepted the honor aboard a gala yacht, together with Germany-based FAI Technik managing director Michael Axtmann. Baumgartner said the recognition reflects the work of FAI’s dedicated and brilliant team.
The award capped the company’s debut at the Dubai Air Show, where discussions centered on rising demand for medevac aircraft across the region. According to Baumgartner, operators in Saudi Arabia are seeking additional availability as new airports open. She noted that FAI’s ability to dispatch missions without requiring owner approval—because the company owns its fleet outright—remains a key differentiator for the group. She added that she has several leads to follow up on after the show.
FAI also highlighted the close relationships it enjoys with medical professionals and hospitals, particularly in the Middle East, where cultural sensitivities are important. The company said its Challenger and Global aircraft operating in the region account for about 20% of overall activity. FAI will expand that fleet in the coming months, with a Bombardier Global 6000 scheduled to join in December and two Learjet 60XRs slated for January.
