An Axis Flight Simulation Bombardier Challenger 350 full-flight simulator is now online at California-based pilot training facility Loft. The FAA level-D simulator—Axis’ fourth product to achieve U.S. regulatory approval—builds on an initial order placed by the school with Axis in 2024.
This particular simulator combines a Van Halteren motion system and RSi XT6 visual system with the RTX Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system. Pilots can also train for steep approaches in the simulator.
According to Axis, the U.S. represents a “notable growth area” for the company, with an increasing number of aircraft operators and training operators exploring advanced flight training solutions. Loft intends to primarily use the Challenger 350 simulator for initial type ratings, recurrent training, upset prevention and recovery training, and familiarization.
In addition to Loft’s new simulator, Axis has qualified an FAA level-D Challenger 350 simulator in Ohio for Vista America, as well as a similarly EASA-authorized variant in its native Austria for Aviation Academy Austria.
