Honeywell suing TAWS manufacturers

Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS) manufacturers Goodrich, Sandel and Universal are being sued by Honeywell for alleged patent infringement. In the lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Honeywell is asking that the defendants be enjoined from selling their TAWS and that the company be awarded damages. No court hearing had been scheduled. If the suit holds up in court, thousands of operators required to have TAWS installed might find that Honeywell has become the sole supplier. None of the defendants would comment.
