Performance-based Routes Validated in China

Performance-based navigation (PBN) flight paths, designed by General Electric Aviation, were validated last week at Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport (ZUJZ) in the Sichuan Province of China.

In this first public PBN project initiated by a Chinese airport, the routes will be available to all approved aircraft operators. First on the list are Air China, China Eastern and Sichuan Airlines, with their Airbus A319 and Boeing 737 aircraft.  

Located in the Min Shan mountain range, Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport has a field elevation 11,311 feet.
