A coalition of 12 aviation organizations, including NBAA, NATA and the U.S. Contract Tower Association, sent a joint letter to House and Senate appropriations leaders who support “full and dedicated funding of the FAA’s Contract Tower Program in Fiscal Year 2015.” According to the letter, “Events of the past year have made it abundantly clear that the FAA Contract Tower Program enjoys strong bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress. We urge you to dedicate full funding to the program for FY2015 and extend the bill language that was adopted in the FY2014 omnibus spending bill.” In FY2014, $149 million was allocated for the contract program.
