Grabysur is here in Paris promoting its illuminated panels for cockpits and planning on continued strong growth; the Spanish company is developing an investment plan to double its production capacity within two years. It has thus moved to new premises in Aeropolis, an aerospace technology park in Andalusia.
It has increased its turnover by 230 percent in five years, closing the year 2014 with sales of €1.3 million ($1.4 million). Grabysur (Hall 5 E248) now expects to increase its turnover by 50 percent by the end of next year and plans on hiring 12 people that year, almost doubling its current workforce.
The company is diversifying its expertise in night vision, adding new lines of business to its core activity of manufacturing panels. It has launched two new business lines focused on adaptation to night vision of military aircraft cockpit indicators and the design and manufacture of components for equipment and onboard communication systems, including bezels, CDU and illuminated keyboards.
Grabysur is a tier-one supplier for several Airbus Defence & Space programs, namely the A400M, A330MRTT, C295, CN235, C212 and C101. It also supplies panels to General Dynamics and for the Airbus Helicopters H175 and EC135 flight simulators, among other customers.
Presently, the company sells more than 3,000 panels for cockpits per year, mostly adapted for night vision. Forty percent are direct sales to Airbus and approximately another 45 percent to large Airbus subcontractors.
