Content Body

Shell Aviation (Stand 1320) is at the Dubai Airshow highlighting its strong presence in the Middle East. The oil company provides aircraft refueling at most of the region’s busiest airports, including Dubai International, Dubai World Central, Riyadh’s King Khaled International and Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz. It has been active in this part of the world since 1962, when it started operations in Oman, and here in Dubai since 1967. In addition to Jet A fuel, the AeroShell subsidiary also supplies lubricants.

As part of its commitment to safety, this year Shell marked the five-year anniversary of its ongoing Goal Zero campaign aimed at achieving zero fuel leaks and incidents involving harm to people.

Meanwhile, the group’s Shell Bitumen division is providing materials for runway and taxiway paving at more than 100 airports worldwide. The company has developed its new Cariphalte range of polymer-modified bitumen to make surfaces longer-lasting and also able to take the loads of increased weight aircraft, such as the new Airbus A380.
