Brazil’s ANAC has granted supplemental type certification to CMD Flight Solutions for its ADS-B Out upgrade for business aircraft equipped with the Honeywell Primus II avionics suite. This approval expands CMD’s ADS-B Out solutions to cover “almost every” business and owner-flown business and regional jets that are equipped with the Rockwell Collins TDR-94/94D transponder or Primus II avionics.


These ADS-B Out solutions are approved by the FAA, Mexico’s DGAC, EASA, Transport Canada, and now ANAC (under certificate 2018S04-17). CMD’s website provides a complete model list of all the Part 23 and 25 airplanes that qualify for its ADS-B STC, which can be installed by a long list of dealers throughout the U.S. and some in other countries.


Operators that fly to countries with ADS-B airspace will be required to comply with upcoming mandates, which include Jan. 1, 2020, in the U.S. and June 7, 2020, in Europe, and there are also some existing requirements in countries within the Asia-Pacific region.
