The name change announced in March of the C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP) to Airbus Canada Limited Partnership takes effect on June 1, Airbus announced Friday. The new name reflects the majority interest of Airbus in the partnership since July 1 of last year. The partnership has adopted the Airbus logo as its single visual identity.

Over the course of the “coming weeks,” the partnership will apply the new name to its documentation, materials, and branded items, said the Airbus statement. The Airbus and Bombardier logos will continue to appear side-by-side on the building exteriors in Mirabel, Canada, reflecting production activities on the site for both the Airbus A220 and Bombardier CRJ aircraft families.

Headquartered in Mirabel, the limited partnership carries responsibility for the development and manufacture of the Airbus A220 family. Majority owned by Airbus, the entity includes Bombardier and government controlled agency Investissement Québec and employs some 2,200 Mirabel. Plans call for a second A220 manufacturing facility, located in Mobile, Alabama, to start production in the third quarter of this year.
