Guernsey-based airline Aurigny has taken delivery of its first ATR 72-600 equipped with the Universal Avionics ClearVision enhanced flight vision system (EFVS) with SkyLens wearable head-up display (HUD). The SkyLens HUD has an unlimited field of view because pilots can look in any direction and see high-resolution HUD symbology, as well as enhanced vision system (EVS), synthetic vision system (SVS), and combined vision system (CVS) imagery (depending on what the operator selects). In the three ATR 72-600s ordered by Aurigny, the airline has selected EVS for the ClearVision system, which combines SkyLens with Universal Avionics parent company Elbit’s multi-spectral camera system. ATR (Stand 936) is the first manufacturer to implement installation of the ClearVision EFVS; Universal is also certifying installation of ClearVision in the Airbus A320.
