Content Body

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has extended its partnership with Honeywell Aerospace to include maintenance services for auxiliary power units (APUs) installed on the airline’s Airbus A330s and Boeing 777s. By optimizing APU maintenance processes, the airline will benefit from lower maintenance costs and high-quality repairs done at both the Honeywell and Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries’ (SAEI) facilities for the 331-500 and 331-350 APUs on these fleet types.

“With Saudia deploying more than 600 aircraft on average daily, aircraft availability and scheduling optimization is critical to the airline’s operation,” said Saudia COO Ibrahim Koshy. “By extending our APU maintenance agreement with Honeywell, we will continue to enhance our maintenance scheduling program, supporting our commitment to deliver a timely, reliable, efficient, and comfortable service for our passengers.”

Under the agreement, Saudia will have APU maintenance done at Honeywell’s MRO facility in Raunheim, Germany, or SAEI’s Jet Propulsion Center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. SAEI is a fully owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Airlines.
