Icare, the training center for French regional airline BritAir, has selected Exail’s EASA-approved FTD2/FNPT II simulator for training its customers’ A320 pilots. The simulator will be delivered and receive its certification in July.
“This flight simulator is the turnkey solution we’ve been looking for in order to deliver our customers the high-quality training they deserve in terms of type rating, multi-crew coordination, and recurrent training,” explained Phillipe Goetz, CEO of Icare. “It will be a perfect complement to our future Level D full-flight simulator, which is due to be certified before year-end.”
Exail’s clients include airlines, air traffic organizations, the French École National d’Aviation Civile, and Eurocontrol. More recently, Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance selected Icare to design and deliver a full flight simulator for the French Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace aircrew flying the E-3F AWACS.
“We are convinced that this state-of-the-art training simulator, designed according to the most stringent standards and regulations, will support Icare’s growth throughout the years and bring increased operational safety and efficiency to their customers,” said Exail CEO Dominique Giannoni.
