Saudi-based Innovative Contracts for Advanced Dimensions (ICAD) has selected RTX business Collins Aerospace for the delivery, deployment, and support services for airport and passenger processing systems for the Neom Bay Airport at Neom City in the kingdom.
ICAD serves as the prime contractor on the airport project. Collins will provide a suite of connected airport systems products, including an operational database, resource management, messaging, baggage, and self-drop bag systems.
“Collins is working closely with ICAD to implement data-driven solutions to save time and increase the operational efficiency of this airport,” said Rakan Khaled, general manager of airport solutions at Collins Aerospace. “We are dedicated to improving the passenger journey for travelers around the globe and meeting the modernization needs of airports and airlines.”
The Terminal 1 and 2 phase of the Neom Bay Airport expansion is scheduled for completion by the end of 2023. Collins’s AirVue system will power flight information displays while the company deploys its common-use self-service check-in kiosks, the VeriPax travel document verification system, and the Muse system for passenger processing.
“Collins is working closely with ICAD to build a state-of-the-art system-integration solution to streamline airport technology for Saudi Arabia,” said Ghassan Sayegh, ICAD CEO. “Their end-to-end solutions, history of innovation, and dedication to excellence are closely aligned with the mission and vision of ICAD.”
