Learjet 35A, Eagle, Colo., July 15, 2005–Learjet N620JM was substantially damaged when it ran off the runway on landing at the Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE). The landing gear collapsed and the airplane caught fire. VMC prevailed for the unscheduled, on-demand medical transport flight from Aspen on a VFR flight plan. The captain, first officer and two passengers received minor injuries. The airplane’s right side sustained major fire damage. The main landing gear and nosegear were broken aft. Wind was 290 degrees at four knots.
