Content Body

The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) last month issued its final rule on the electronic filing of commercial aircraft passenger and crew manifests, including changes to the advance passenger information system (APIS). In addition to the current requirement for transmission of manifest information for passengers and crewmembers before arrival in the U.S., starting June 6 operators will need to transmit information before departure from the U.S. Also effective June 6, operators will no longer be able to process APIS transmissions through NBAA. The CBP has developed its own APIS online transmission service at www.eapis.cbp.dhs.gov/.
