Content Body

Aerospace Products International announced that it will open a 172,000-sq-ft facility in Southaven, Miss. The location is approximately three miles from the Memphis International Airport and the FedEx hub. API will consolidate four of its warehouse facilities into a recently completed distribution center developed by Industrial Developments International (IDI) early next year. The lease between IDI and API has a 10-year term with various expansion options.

The company believes that the new facility, coupled with recent significant investments in SAP and telephony technology, will enable it to continue to provide its customers the highest levels of service and support.

The company has also announced it received FAA approval to perform aircraft wheel overhaul services. It will now offer a variety of accessory maintenance, repair and overhaul services under the approval of API’s repair station certificate. The company can now perform full MRO services on aircraft wheels manufactured by Aircraft Braking Systems and Goodrich. Some of the aircraft affected include Cessna Citations, Raytheon Hawkers and Beechjets, Bombardier Learjets, Challengers and CRJs, Dassault Falcon Jets and Embraer ERJs.
