Honeywell puts Zing into TFE731 t-fans

Honeywell plans to introduce a new intelligent engine monitoring network for its engine remote diagnostic service called Zing. Designed for aircraft powered by the Honeywell TFE731 turbofan, the product creates a high-speed information network between operators and their aircraft and translates engine data into alerts and maintenance requirements. The company expects to make the service available for new aircraft and retrofit applications some time early next year.

Honeywell’s engine remote diagnostic service allows for remote support and monitoring similar to that used by airlines at a fraction of the cost, according to the company. It is the first subscription service of its kind in the business jet segment using the Honeywell Zing network, the company said.
