Landmark Aviation received FAA approval for a mod to increase rudder control authority of Falcon 50s equipped with Rockwell Collins APS-85 autopilots or Pro Line 21 avionics. The Tempe, Ariz.-based aircraft services company says the mod provides the same rudder travel as the Falcon 50EX, which, the company said, “has demonstrated landing with a crosswind of 30 knots.” By contrast, the demonstrated landing crosswind component for the Falcon 50 is 23 knots, according to Landmark.
