Bombardier Expands Cost-per-hour Mx Programs

Beginning June 1, buyers of any new Bombardier business jet can opt for a new cost-per-flight-hour maintenance support program. Under “Smart Maintenance Plus,” unscheduled and scheduled maintenance and certain unscheduled labor costs are covered for five years or 2,500 flight hours for Challengers and Global Expresses and five years or 2,250 flight hours for Learjets. Operators pay an annual fee and a monthly charge based on actual flight hours, adjusted yearly for inflation. Smart Maintenance Plus complements other Bombardier cost-per-flight-hour programs already in effect for out-of-production Challengers and the Challenger 604 and 605. Meanwhile, the company recently expanded its customer service hotline to 24/7 staffing by “qualified field service representatives.”
