Platinum Jet Center opens

Bloomington-Normal Central Illinois Regional Airport is home to Platinum Jet Center BMI’s new FBO, which opened in October. The FBO’s 20,000-sq-ft heated hangar “is the largest hangar in the Midwest,” said vice president and general manager David Schlentner, and is tall enough to accept a BBJ. The FBO is owned by Executive Flight Management and features a pilot lounge, business center, customer offices, a training room and Chevron fuel. Platinum has an option to build another hangar and could begin construction on a 40,000-sq-ft building in about a year, Schlentner said.
