Enstrom upgrades turbine air conditioner unit

The Enstrom 480 series has an upgraded air conditioning unit that the FAA recently certified. “The condenser bypass makes this system more efficient than that of most of our competitors,” claimed Bayard duPont, director of product support for Enstrom Helicopter. “The unit is an option that can be retrofitted to any Enstrom 480 or 480B and is available immediately as a two- or three-evaporator system.” According to the company, the two-evaporator system, which weighs 74 pounds, is suitable for most environments.
