Hawker 800 Winglet STC expected this quarter

Aviation Partners is hoping to complete the STC program for a winglets retrofit on Hawker 800s and begin initial deliveries of modified aircraft before the end of this month. The Hawker 800SP project has been in the works for more than two years. Failure to obtain certain OEM data and changes in FAA certification methods lengthened the STC process. More than 15 customers are signed up at a pre-certification installed cost of $350,000, according to Seattle-based Aviation Partners. The cost climbs to $395,000 for orders taken after certification. The company said the Hawker 800SP will have a 6- to 7-percent increase in range, along with other performance boosts.
