Content Body

Over the last seven years, U.S. Aircraft Insurance Group has contributed more than $2.5 million to help pay annual training costs of Bell, Eurocopter and MD Helicopter operators who participate in the USAIG preferred policyholder program. Each participating operator receives up to $30,000 a year to spend on flight or maintenance training in the form of “Safety Bucks.” Bell operators can redeem their award through Bell or at FlightSafety International, while Eurocopter and MD operators can get their training from their respective OEMs. To qualify for Safety Bucks, an operator must complete a full year in the USAIG preferred program. That program currently includes more than 76 operators that collectively fly a total of 229 turbine helicopters.
