New DRVSM documents on FAA web site

The FAA has posted two new documents on its Web site to help business aircraft operators deal with the upcoming January 20 deadline for domestic reduced vertical separation minimums (see page 1). Titled “Basic Operator Information on DRVSM Programs,” the first document provides an overview of DRVSM, including program objectives, background, regulations and guidance, as well as a synopsis of the DRVSM authorization process. The second document is “DRVSM Operational Policy and Procedures: FAA Notice.” Operators can download both documents at www.faa.gov/ats/ato/rvsm_documentation.htm.
