JetTech of Littleton, Colo., last month announced it has received an STC for an RVSM kit for pre-275 serial number Cessna Citation 500s equipped with Bendix autopilots. The kit, said to be the only one of its kind, includes two Honeywell digital altimeters, an air-data interface unit, pitot-static plumbing and wiring harnesses.
Honeywell’s AM-250 altimeter allows older Citation 500s with Bendix autopilots to meet the height-keeping requirements of RVSM. JetTech said this is the only equipment option available for these early serial-number Citation 500s. Installation is estimated at two weeks and the installed price ranges from the low $70,000s to the low $80,000s, according to the company.
