Stockholders approved the merger of White Plains, N.Y.-based K&F Industries Holdings, makers of aircraft brake and fuel components, and avionics manufacturer Meggitt-USA of Simi Valley, Calif., last month. Soon after the announcement, K&F said the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division requested more information about the merger. Under terms of the deal, Meggitt will acquire K&F for $1.8 billion, subject to regulatory approval.
