New Civilian Hypoxia Training Available

Van Nuys, Calif.-based Corporate Air Parts is offering a new hypoxia training course to civilian pilots. Training includes a video segment and two 15- to 20-minute
sessions in an oxygen-depletion altitude chamber. Goals of the training are to recognize each participant’s individual symptoms, recover and treat the symptoms in a timely manner and descend the aircraft to a safe cabin altitude. Company president Neil Looy called the $375 training course “an absolute must for pilots and for flight attendants.”
