Flying Colours, the Peterborough, Ontario center, is adding 30,000 sq ft to its current completion and maintenance facility that will also include a client lounge, conference facility and offices. The new space, said president John Gillespie, “is a direct result of our continued movement into large-cabin completions.” Flying Colours recently announced finalization of a contract to convert three Canadair CRJ200LR regional jets to an executive configuration. The conversions will include auxiliary fuel tanks to extend the range from 2,000 nm to approximately 3,000 nm. The first of the three aircraft is due to arrive at Flying Colours this fall. A CRJ200 being reconfigured under an earlier separate contract is scheduled for delivery this fall.
