Rockwell Collins Brings Airline Radar to Bizav

Rockwell Collins (Booth No. 5500) announced at NBAA that its RTA-4100 MultiScan weather radar will become available in December of next year to business jets equipped with Pro Line 21 and Pro Line Fusion avionics. Providing a 300-nm, “clutter free” weather display, MultiScan radar combines returns through advanced digital processing and analysis algorithms to display precipitation rates and actual weather threats, including turbulence out to 40 nm. The radar has more than five years of operational experience on more than 100 airline fleets around the world, according to Denny Helgeson, Rockwell Collins vice president and general manager for business and regional systems.
