German Air Rescue, the DRF, has received a design organization approval from the EASA according to its Part 21J rule. The DRF can now perform technical modifications and repairs–including for avionics and electrical systems–on all helicopter types. The DRF can independently carry out minor repairs for which there are no approved documents provided by the manufacturer. In the past, an external EASA Part 21J design organization had to approve the repairs.
