Content Body

Paris Le Bourget FBO and executive charter firm Aero Services has been bought by Portuguese general aviation group Omni Aviacão e Tecnologia. The deal was concluded on April 2, with Omni paying an undisclosed sum to French entertainment group Vivendi, which was the controlling shareholder in Aero Services.

Lisbon-based Omni has doubled its fleet to 30 aircraft by acquiring the 15 business jets that Aeroservices operates in the charter market. These include a pair of Airbus Corporate Jetliners (ACJs), a mix of 11 Dassault Falcons (including the 900, 50, 20 and 10) and a Bombardier Learjet 31. Omni also operates several regional airliners under charter, as well as providing emergency medical services, flight training and aircraft management. Additionally, its fleet includes 12 helicopters that are used mainly for offshore transportation contracts.

Omni said it will continue to operate the Aero Services handling operation at Le Bourget. The group also includes the OmniServisair handling operations in Portugal, maintenance company Aeromec and Brazilian executive charter operator Omni Taxi Aereo.
